weesie's rattiesQuestion:okies, here i am with my rattie babies....let's start with the boys.... Answer: more of the boys.... Answer: Awww!! They are sweet. I love Dexter. Answer: Awwww, what sweet rats! Answer: and yet more cute lil boys..... this is rua, and no matter what i do, i can nto seem to keep his pics from looking like this ultra glare! his fawn coloring and deep crimson eyes just do not photo well! i got him at petsmart in springfield, mo. i always look at the critters, say hello, whatever. there were all these blacks and whites, and one red. i was so excited. the guy who works there knows me, so he came to see hwat i was looking at. he got excited too and pulled the little red rattie out to look. there ws a huge sore on his shoulder. i was very upset about it. i knew what they would probably do with him. they took him to the back and said tehy were going to "treat" him. we went to dinner. i just couldn't get him out of my mind. we went back and talked to the manager and they gave him to us with no health gaurantee. still had to pay for him. i brought him home and healed him up. he has had thre huge abcesses since then, one had to be surgically removed due to a lot of decaying tissue. but he is a happy healhy ratty now!!! and he is the smartest one i ever met....he knows a lot f phrases...he comes and gives me kisses when i say mommy wants a kiss. if i say eats, treats, or hungry, he'll come get whatever offer. same with drink or thirsties. if i say potties, he'll go to his cage and poop or go wherever i put him if i have been carrying him and we are out somewhere. i can say cage and he will go. i can say bag or shirt and he will go there as well. he sleeps with me and his cgae is open for him to go back to. i have not found poop or a pee spot in my bed in four months now. he amazes me!!! and my cats LOVE him!!! Answer: forgot to mention that rua means redhaired in celtic. i still have many more ratties, but i gotta take care of a child that just claimed a headache so i will post the toehr boy and all the girls later. Answer: they are all very cute ratties. oh and rua is known as a fawn Answer: [quote="weesiepoo"]and yet more cute lil boys..... this is rua, and no matter what i do, i can nto seem to keep his pics from looking like this ultra glare! his fawn coloring and deep crimson eyes i know his coloring is called fawn. actually, if you study ratgenetics, it is not a true coloring, fawns are all considered a silvered color. he is still my favorite little "red" rsttie! and, truly, he has a pretty strawberry blondish color, which, in a human, i would say they had light red hair soooooo rua, red haired. lol. i have a thing for red heads. as a child, i only wanted redheaded dolls, was in love with brenda starr, and wanted a redheaded baby (i got one, too-from a half native american half irish father, just like myself) and have dated several redheads and i darken the red in my own slightly auburn head. i know, way too much info.....but thats why he caught my eye and where he got his name. i am still working on getting some kick glutius maximus pics! and i am only online a few seconds, so i don't have time to do the other boy and all the girls' picsnow. will tomorrow-er. later today-lol. Answer: oh, and i wanted to tell you about spongebob, fondly known as pungey. he belongs to the little boy in the last picture, holding rua. so does niner. niner is a very calm rat. much more inclined to just sitting and having his fat belly kissed and scritches applied between ratnaps. but pungey is described as the pasgetthi king. actually, he is a food fanatic. more so than most rats. he will hog it all downand hide the rest. his favorite. spaghetti. when i put a plate of spaghetti in with the boys (remember, there are 5 in our permanent cage, a huge ferret cage with hideys and slings etc), pungey dives onto the plate, covers it with his whole body, and rolls all over it. then he gathers up as much as he can and kind of creeps on his bell while pushing with his back legs and his front legs are held up and away from the floor-full of spaghetti. he gets into the igloo and goes to the back and then he runs back out and does it again. he will do this over and over until he has all the food that the others have nto managed to consue or move from the plate. then he goes back in the igloo and starts to eat. after a while, he lays down and continues to eat. then, he will fall asleep on his spaghetti pile. what is really funny is that he will often be fast asleep, flat on his back, legs wide open-on the spaghetti. he will wake up, start to nible, and fall asleep with spaghetti still hanging from his mouth!!!! finally, he will waddle out to the water bottle, with an armfull of spaghetti, and the other boys will rush in and nosh on as much as they can and then run out. it is hilarious! i will let this go about an hour or so, hten i will clean the area and scoop the bedding, except whatever he actually has in his teeth and arms. whats reallt funny is that his fur will be orange for atleast two days, and the scales of his tail will be stained for a week or more, even with a bath!! yes, pungey is the pasgetthi king, and all we puny past loving humans should just bow down-after we pass the stinky cheese, of course...... lol off to bed now g'night!
