Severe case of abuse... HELP

Question:
This absolutely breaks my heart. They are asking for help in justice being served. A beloved family german shepherd mix, deaf, 15 years old, athritic, gets kicked in the stomach and dies... The website they have will make you cry...

Answer:
I agree how horrible and heartless of the neighbour. I hope they learned from this and make sure they keep any future dogs at home. Some people are just aweful and cruel, he will probably walk away from this scott free because the dog wandered onto his property. What a needless tragedy!

Answer:
Excuse me while I go and cry now...EVIL people, I hope he burns in h***, wait, I know he will and I hope his concious eats at him everyday till he dies.

Answer:
Nope it won't bother him abit, he will justify it by saying the dog trespassed. It happens alot here but here they shoot the dog and no body can do anything. Keep your dog at home that is the only solution. How horrible it is though.

Answer:
I signed the petition and will pass it on to everyone I know. He will rot in **** for what he did. I'm sure he's already there since his name was on the news and in the local papers. He's lucky he isnt my neighbor, I would not want to be him and have to put up with my rath.....

Answer:
I read this a while back on a different website than the one you posted....he's a sick man and I hope he gets what he deserves.

Answer:
I would be furious with the neighbour and he would either need to move or I would need to move because I am sure I would end up in jail.

Answer:
That's sick. Poor dog. I can't help wondering though why the owners didn't look for their dog sooner. It took them two hours to find her at home? She was deaf! I'd have been worried before 15 minutes. :/
And what a ridiculous article
However you look at it, kicking a dog at a barbecue is behavior beneath any human, even a Neanderthal.
All those Neanderthals running loose are such a problem!

LOL! They're just everywhere, aren't they? :D

Just a ray of hope here. Most places, especially if they have any sort of rural population, only allow for killing a 'trespassing' dog if it is a threat to livestock or in a case of self defense. And the standard of conduct is what a "reasonable and prudent person" would do ;)

It is true in Ontario you can shoot a dog that has come onto your property even if it is just casually wondering by not causing any trouble at all. That is just plain wrong.

Answer:
Now that IS just plain wrong! And I'd always been under the impression that Canada was a much kinder, friendlier, less violent place than the U.S.

Only to the criminals like Karla Holmoka who is now out living free after killing two or three girls.

Answer:
You can never underestimate the cruelty of people toward animals... ever. That is why I ALWAYS kept my dog on a leash no matter the situation. If he got out of my backyard somehow, I knew within 5 minutes and found him in the front yard.
I say this b/c one of my close friends in college was caught making a video tape of throwing a full soda bottle at a squirrel in a tree. He thought it was a riot as did his other friends, but I came down pretty hard on him and haven't spoken to him since (4 months ago). Although I do not like Peta, they found out about it and tried to press charges on him for animal cruelty. My friend thought it was something to laugh about and posted it on his web blogs and tried to think of ways to make a stronger point... making a mockery video or something.
My heart goes out to this family. I couldn't imagine what it is like for them even now.

Answer:
If I read the article correctly, the dog was at a friend's house for the time being, got out of her sight and came over the bbq. It sounds like the owners thought they had their dog out of harm's way. Why didn't someone raise a fuss though? "Hey, why'd you kick that dog?" or "Holy crap, did you see that?! What were you doing?" It was quite obvious from the pictures that this dog was old, and arthritis is pretty easy to spot.

Answer:
That is true heartbreaking as to where I teared up. I look at her and i see a short haired version of Maxis (RIP) and it breaks my heart even more to see her taken from this world so cruely.

Answer:
poor dog

Answer:
Believe it or not this would ne a good article for Dreeza to see. She lets her doggy run and play off leash. When the doggy goes onto someone else's property these horrible acts of evil, brutality can occur. As aweful and horrid as it is, if the dog had been tied or fenced in this would have been avoided. You can never expect even the best dogs to not wonder even if it is just for a split second. Most normal people would never hurt a dog, but there is the odd one who is evil and does these things. I could never forgive such an act of brutality even if it was the owners fault for allowing the dog to wander. Who is that evil? Obviously this guy is. He will have to answer for this act when his life is over and he will pay the ultimate price then.

Answer:
Only two years in jail and a maximum $5,000 fine?
That's terrible... I can't believe how cruel people can be.

I was not trying to mean just wanted you to realize the dangers. Maybe he is good now but it only takes one nasty neighbour and one wander. It happens to even the best trained dogs. Ask my uncle who had a gsd police dog. Was his partner for 12 years. This dog listened to every word he ever was spoken to and never disobeyed not once. Until they were hunting wild turkeys, and he was told to sit and he broke his sit first time in his life and got buckshot in the butt. Never ever was the same again. Froze everytime he heard a gun, lost his job. Uncle had to find a new partner. See it happens so easily. I just want you to be aware that is all.

Answer:
i know :\
thanks for making me so aware of that though, i appreciate it
and sorry to get all off topic...but have you ever had experience with any kind of animal behaviorist?
