NutroQuestion:Ok right now i feed Nutro to my dog. I knwo it is not the best, but it is also not the worst. I want to feed he candie as so many swear by it. my problem is I cant find much selections in petstores around here. I live just putside of toronto. Does any one else know where to buy it? I have seen it once, but I really belive it was over priced at $69.99 for about a 30lbs bag. SO I didnt buy it. Is there any other better foods people would like to direct me to that know where I can get it in the Toronto area? What is every one else thoughts on Nutro? I'm sorry if this has been asked before. i did a search and never found this particular question pop up. Answer: I bet you could find some of the foods by Petcurean there. Their Go Natural is what I'm going to be switching to once I go to the city. It's very high calorie and I think cost effective. I don't know Toronto at all but I bet you can find a lot of foods like the ones from www.naturapet.com (Innova) Try Eagle Pack too. I think their site is just www.eaglepack.com Answer: Any feed stores in your area? Like where they sell hay and horse feed? All the good dog food like Wellness, Canidae and the likes are at both of the feed stores around here. But maybe feed stores are a Texas thing - I wouldn't know, I've never lived anywhere else :D Answer: omg lol Yes. There are only feed stores in Texas :p lol The feedstores I've been to only carry crappy food like masterfeeds and other junk. BUT that doesn't mean it hurts to give them a call. You never know what you might find! Answer: Oh, and my thoughts on Nutro and the other things you said: I feed my Labrador a mix of Nutro High Energy, Natural Balance canned food and Canidae because she won't eat Canidae alone, (she's an EXTREMELY picky eater) since she does agility and is just such an energetic dog overall, I have to keep pushing calories down her throat so she doesn't burn them all off! :D I don't think there's a thing wrong with Nutro. I'd rather feed something else, like you, NOT because it's a bad food but because there is better out there. Other good foods: DICK VAN PATTEN'S NATURAL BALANCE. I love this food! My Corgi gets it, as she is a normal-energy dog, and it is WONDERFUL. Answer: Any feed stores in your area? Like where they sell hay and horse feed? In a I'm surrounded by cities. the closest feed store I belive is in Uxbridge, which really isnt to far. I will ask some horse friends I know ifthey have the dog food up int he store, and where is the store. I used to work up ona horse farm in uxbride so there must be one around there Answer: Do you not have a petcetera or other chain out there? My dog is my baby and i will feed him the best i can find. And nutro is the best around here (all others are IAMS science diet pedigree and..old roy lol. The pet stores here suck. I also heard costco has a great dog food too. My luck is my card has run out, but my moms friend just got one and said she would take me there. Answer: Do you not have a petcetera or other chain out there? yes we do. petcetra is right down the street. it dosnt have much of a selection though. Just the basic well promoted foods such as IAMS and such like that. We go to Petsmart to get the Nutro. becuase all i have sen at the petcetra is nutro max (which is supposidly a bad one to buy) and nutro puppy. And my dog is almost 4 years old. I never thought of pet valu. They dont sell animals. Just pet food. I forgot all about those chains and know where one is in the next town over. thanks. i will try them Answer: Sure. I guess Petcetera is more western canada. BUT what I was going to say about them is that they offer a free bag after you buy 10. WHich is VERY nice. And there are other chains that do that so you might want to see if you can find one. |
