HELP STOP SLAUGHTER read story below SAD

It was a two story trailer with 20 horses in it. For weeks we switched trailers and picked up more horses. At the end I was weak and starving. I fell, and was trampled by many horses. At the last stop, we were unloaded and put into a small paddock by blood-splattered wall with cross-ties. Out of about 40 horses 20 of us survived. My colt was led to the killing station. I put myself between the man and my colt but my colt and I were too weak to resist. I screamed, "NO!" but the man just put ear plugs in and put bloody goggles on. The man picked up a nail gun and pointed it at my foals head. I neighed "Take Me!! Please!!" but the man did not listen and shot at my colts head. In unison, my colt and I screamed in pain. My colt's rapid, shallow breaths were blowing bubbles into the blood that quickly gushed out of his body. I reared and bucked and tried to jump the fence, but the man skinned my foal. The sound was horrible. My foal's beautiful black coat was thrown on the ground. My colt was still alive and conscious, but barely. I knew what would happen next. I screamed, bucked, reared, and did anything in my power to draw the man's attention away from my colt. It did not work. The man picked up the bone cutting tool as my colt was lifted into the air and I could not bare to watch as my beautiful colt's head was cut off. I fell to the ground unconcious. I woke up a few seconds later to see my foal's limp body, headless and legless, carried off and thrown into a truck. A man came into the paddock and put an uncomfortable rope halter on my head. I was too weak to get up, and 5 men had to drag me to the killing station. The men leaned me against the wall and tied me up. The man picked up the nail gun and pointed at my head. The pain was so great, I sank to my knees almost immediately after the shot. I would think of the happy days my colt and I spent together, but the pain consumed all other thoughts, I would think of a plan to escape but my skull had shattered into pieces. The man skinned me. The sound was unbareable. My layers of skin left stung and burned with the exposure to the air. The men tied coarse ropes around my legs, and lifted me into the air. The man swung the bone cutter swiftly toward my head, and my life was over. I joined my foal in heaven and he has grown up to be a wonderful stallion. But his foals will never live real lives, and he'll never be the champion he could have been. These chances were taken away from us and our foals and grandfoals. We could have been great but we were slaughtered. Many horses have joined me in heaven for the same reason. It may be hard to beleive, but it's true, slaughter on Horseland encourages the slaughter of me and many other horses. HL slaughter tells real slaughter that we don't care, that we support slaughter, whenever someone says die, kill, or slaughter on HL, they're encouraging the slaughter of horses like me, and my colt.

 Boy Cattlegirl that was sad but I understans fully your feeling on this topic. That is why I am glad to know that even though I am in the city so I can not do the rescues myself ther are people out there that run rescues for horses that I can give my support to.
